I am a college student looking for a finance internship with the MLB or with my in state team- Detroit Tigers. I am dual majoring in Banking and Finance Management. I need to find someone that has connections with the MLB and get a possible phone number or e-mail. I would even take an internship with a Minor league team as well!

Sunday, February 21st, 2010
Frizzer asked:

If you went to a major league baseball game would you rather see a hitter safe at first with a bunt single then steal second and third base and come home on a sacrifice fly, or see a hitter hit a 500 foot homerun? No right or wrong response and best answer will go to the person with the best explanation

Marvin Lewis deserves the contract extension

Friday, February 19th, 2010

Marvin Lewis, coach of the Cincinnati Bengals has dealt with a lot this season, to say the least. When I heard the team signed Matt Jones and Adam Jones, I wondered, why hasn’t he signed a contract to renew this year.
Yes, as owner of the team you would be looking for a change with the past season under their belts. They were all right but the drama off the field with all the players with the law, Chris Henry passing and trouble with drafting people with character issues. But, a coach is only as good as his players. He tried to motivate the players and he did a great job. He was named coach of the year for turning a 4-12 team into a playoff team. They also Terrel Owens again, and with all this locker room trouble he deserves a security in his job.

mattgoal asked:

I’m looking for players who you believe should be in Major League Baseball’s Hall of Fame. They can be current players or recently retired players who are not eligible yet. Please back up your statements with reasons, explanations and anything to support your claim. Thanks.
Thanks for your answers everybody. I didn’t pose the question for any reason other than curiousity. It was interesting to see everyone’s take on the issue and I appreciate your input.

Is Tiger Coming Back Soon?

Thursday, February 18th, 2010

Many of us admired the excellent golfer, Tiger Woods, the world’s number one golfer.  Hence, we were all very disappointed when he tore his family apart with poor decisions and left the golf world.  We don’t need to talk about what he did, but many wonder if he will be back soon, in time for the Masters Tournament, for example.  But will he?

With his absence, the golf world felt a pang of loss.  Tiger clearly loved golf, and he still will no matter what happens in his life.  We can expect him back as soon as he can come back, and we will be able to watch the pro play once again.

tiger, woods, golf, masters

Cubs will do it again in 2010

Wednesday, February 17th, 2010

Much as I love them, the cubs are destined to repeat as a middle of the pack NL Central Team.  They are stuck with a lot of over paid, under performing talent again this year.  The Cardinals look even better than last year and look out for Cincy!

But the biggest reason I feel they will never win is the pressure.  Even if they get close in September, the pressure of not having won the World Series will get to them like it always does.  Just look at their last 2 performances in the playoffs.  Their great, expensive talent could not swing the bats at all!

It’s February and I already say …  Wait till next year …  it ain’t even this year yet!

Major League baseball considering Pete Rose for a contender to be voted into Hall of Fame?

Friday, February 12th, 2010
Lloyd asked:

The great Pete Rose who was banned from Major League Baseball twenty years ago after being in the middle of a gambling scandal is now under consideration to open the doors in the future to allow him to be voted into the Base Ball Hall of Fame and coaching. Should he be given another chance after twenty years.
